We are deprecating the woocommerce_geolocation_local_database_path filter in favor of the woocommerce_maxmind_geolocation_databse_path filter. Since we want the option to turn this into a feature plugin, it's wise to make sure nothing is too generic.

Exception when WC_Product_Variation is instantiated with the wrong type

This commits changes WC_Product_Variation to raise an exception when the
class is instantiated with an ID that belongs to a post object that is
not a product variation.
This is necessary to avoid problems like the one described in #24956
where passing a variable product ID to WC_Product_Variation would result
in transparently modifying the variable product title and excerpt.

Use the spread operator instead of call_user_func_array() in WC_Data_Store

This commit replaces a call to call_user_func_array() in WC_Data_Store::__call() with argument unpacking using the spread operator which was introduced in PHP 5.6. This change should improve WooCommerce performance a tiny bit since WC_Data_Store::__call() is called somewhat frequently and call_user_func_array() has a bad performance reputation. I added one unit test to make sure this change doesn't break the functionality of the altered method.

Add support for custom attributes to wc_placeholder_img().

When displaying a list of images you often want a specific class to be
attached to each image, therefore you pass through a custom class using
the attr parameter. Unfortunately this doesn't get passed through to a
placeholder image should one be needed. This means that, for example, if
you're custom class center an image or something, it won't be honoured
for placeholders, which can lead to some wonky image listings.
You can work around this currently by leverging the
`woocommerce_product_get_image` filter, but it's a bit gnarly as you
need to do some regexing or string splitting or something and checking
class names and what not. This provides a much easier way, by
supporting custom attrs on placeholder images as is the case for non
placehodler images.

Check for max discount to be -ve to prevent overwriting fee.

When we refund fee and some other line item whose value is more than fee in a single requst, value of line item will overwrite refund fee.
This is because where we check to make sure that we do not discount more than total possible value (to prevent negative total), we do not account for the fact that sometimes the cart could contain refund items. In those cases max_discount * -1 will always be larges then fees total.
This commit adds a check to make sure that max discount * -1 is indeed negative before overwriting fee total.

Remove methods assertIsWPError() and assertNotWPError() from WC_Unit_Test_Case

Those two methods are already declared in the class WP_UnitTestCase, so there is
no need to declare them again in the class WC_Unit_Test_Case. The only
caveat is that assertIsWPError() is called assertWPError() in
WP_UnitTestCase so it was necessary to update all of its usages.

Round late when rounding at subtotal to reduce rounding error.

We were earlier rounding different tax rate values while they are merged, even if rounding at subtotal setting is enabled. This increases the rounding error, especially when prices are inclusive of taxes, and thus there is a chance that the total will be slightly different from when add the original values. For egs: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/23917 .
This commit changes this behavior to round *after* we have summed all the precise unround values. Similar for items prices, we now round as late as possible, if rounding at subtotal is enabled.

This commit moves two functions declared inside a test method to their
own protected methods inside the same test class to make it easier to
read the tests and it fixes the order of the parameters for the calls to
Assert::assertEquals(). The first parameter passed to this method should
be the expected value and the second parameter should be the actual
value and not the opposite.

PR #23196 added a workaround to `parse_str()` limitation when dealing with full-stops, pluses, and spaces in the parameter key. This workaround involved temporarily replacing those three characters with placeholders before calling `parse_str()` and then replacing back to the original form. This commit fixes a bug in this logic that was replacing back only parameters keys and not parameters values.
For example, if the query string is `?query.parameter=foo.bar`, the resulting <input> field contained `foo{dot}bar`, instead of the expected `foo.bar`.

Fix PHPCS in the Travis builds

PR https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/23082 made some changes to the Travis configuration and one of those changes broke the PHPCS when running inside Travis with the following error:

ERROR: Referenced sniff "WooCommerce-Core" does not exist
```
For example: https://travis-ci.org/woocommerce/woocommerce/jobs/509471213#L659
This problem went unnoticed during the PR review as no PHP file was modified in it and thus there was no file for PHPCS to check.
This commit fixes the error above by installing the Composer package `woocommerce/woocommerce-sniffs` which is the package that provides `WooCommerce-Core` sniffs and which installs `wp-coding-standards/wpcs` as one of its requirements. I couldn't find an easy way to make this work installing `woocommerce/woocommerce-sniffs` globally so that is why this commit also removes the `global` parameter when calling composer.

This commit creates two new Travis build jobs, one to run the e2e tests and another to run PHPCS. Doing this, instead of running those two checks in the same build job as the PHP 7.2 unit tests, should make the total build time shorter and it should make it easier to see why the build failed.

This commit changes the regular expression used to determine the WP_TESTS_TAG variable to ignore WP beta releases otherwise install_test_suite() will fail to download the test suite. This is part of workaround to run WooCommerce unit tests using PHP 7.3 and WP 5.0 beta-5.

This commits reduces the execution time of the test WC_Tests_Paypal_Gateway_Request::test_request_url() from about 30s to about 6s (which is still super slow and even after this change this test is still the slowest in our test suite). This test creates several products that are needed to test different scenarios. To make it run faster, the code was changed to create the WC_Product objects without saving them to the database. Just interacting with the objects is enough to this test and skipping the database makes it run much faster. Other tests might benefit from the same technique.

This commit removes a bunch of unnecessary cleanup code from cart tests. All database changes are automatically reverted after each test, so it is not necessary to write code inside the test to manually revert the changes that were made. One test method was split into three different methods for clarity and to avoid having to revert database changes manually between each part of the test.
This change makes the tests easier to read but also reduced the execution time of the cart tests in about 15%.

Fix: orderby and order parameters in WC_Customer_Download_Log_Data_Store::get_download_logs()

This commit fixes a bug in WC_Customer_Download_Log_Data_Store::get_download_logs() that made impossible to change the order in which the query returned the results. This method accepts the arguments order_by and order, but it was ignoring them and always using the default values ('download_log_id' and 'ASC' respectively).
It also introduces a very basic unit test to cover the method main functionality and to make sure that the parameters order and orderby are not ignored anymore.
It seems that the modified method was inspired in WC_Customer_Download_Data_Store::get_downloads() before the same bug was fixed in #18620 .

Switch travis codecoverage from xdebug to phpdbg ( #20857 )

This commit changes the travis codecoverage from using xdebug to phpdbg, phpdbg seems much faster and gives similar results.
Reason for switching is we have been running into constant timeouts on our codecoverage due to the 50min job limit on travis, which means our codecoverage has not been updated in a couple of months.
* Remove xdebug as it slows tests down, switch to using phpdbg for code coverage.
* Update parameters for phpdbg
* It is qrr not qqr
* Include vendor/bin path when using phpdbg
* Use PHP 7.1 to run phpdbg
* Update phpunit dire
* Include $HOME in phpdbg call to phpunit
* Set no memory limit to avoid out of memory errors.

This commits changes WC_Unit_Test_Case parent class to WP_HTTP_TestCase (which extends WP_UnitTestCase). This way all WC core test classes can benefit from the functionality provided by WP_HTTP_TestCase if needed. This is necessary because otherwise test classes can use the functionality provided by WC_Unit_Test_Case or WP_HTTP_TestCase. This change should not affect test classes that don't explicitly call one of the WP_HTTP_TestCase features.

Make WC_Tests_Product_CSV_Importer::test_import() faster

This commit changes the WC_Tests_Product_CSV_Importer class to use artificial HTTP responses instead of performing real HTTP requests to a external server to get the images of the imported products. On my local machine, this change reduced the test execution time from 3257ms to 831ms.
As a consequence of this change, this commit also fixes WC_Tests_Product_CSV_Importer::test_import() in all Travis builds. This test has been failing for a few weeks on Travis but not on our local environments. After some debugging, I found out that the test was failing on Travis because of the following error when `wp_safe_remote_get()` was called to get images for the imported products:
```
Error getting remote image http://demo.woothemes.com/woocommerce/wp-content/uploads/sites/56/2013/06/T_1_front.jpg . Error: cURL error 35: gnutls_handshake() failed: Handshake failed.
```
Apparently, the PHP binary that is used by Travis is unable to handle the TLS handshake (see https://github.com/travis-ci/travis-ci/issues/6339 ) and the test probably started failing when demo.woothemes.com (which is used to download the images for the imported products) switched from HTTP to HTTPS.

This commit adds a check before the code that uploads screenshots of failed e2e tests to make it run only if running the Travis build job that executed the tests and if the screenshots/ directory is not empty. There is no need to always download Travis artifacts and try to upload to S3 if there is nothing to upload.

This adds screenshots for broken e2e tests. The screenshots will also be uploaded to an Amazon S3 instance from Travis CI so they can be viewed. If run locally, there will be a screenshots directory created where they can be viewed
If there is a failed e2e test you'll see a block under `travis.sh after` in the build log in Travis CI that will give the URLs for the images.

This commit adds WordPress version of phpunit-speed-trap (https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/blob/master/tests/phpunit/includes/speed-trap-listener.php ). First I tried to add it using composer but for some unknown reason it worked on my local environment but not on Travis (https://travis-ci.org/woocommerce/woocommerce/jobs/377286389#L673 ). I don't think it is worth spending too much time on this so it seems to me that it is just easy to use WordPress version instead since it works.

This commit adds a new filter, "woocommerce_install_get_tables", to the WC_Install::get_tables() method, enabling WooCommerce extensions to register new, WooCommerce-specific tables, ensuring these tables can be cleaned up automatically should WooCommerce be uninstalled (useful for things like custom table data stores). Nothing gets added by default, but this provides an integration point for plugins like WooCommerce Custom Orders Table.

This commit fixes WC PHPUnit tests in PHP 5.2 that have been broken since commit e68084d7b8 (diff-b43983ff635e47e2ec510ae07726f0b4R30)https://travis-ci.org/woocommerce/woocommerce/jobs/350303315#L281 )
For now, I'm simply removing the method that used late static binding (WC_Unit_Test_Case::include_dependencies()) and manually loading the required dependencies in the two test classes that relied on it. I'm happy to add WC_Unit_Test_Case::include_dependencies() again if someone can find a way to make it compatible with PHP 5.2. If not, we can revisit this once WC drops support for PHP 5.2.

There were two outdated lists of WC tables. One used to drop tables when WC is uninstalled and another one to drop tables when a site is deleted in a multi site environment. This commit creates a new unified list of WC tables, adds the missing tables to this list and introduces a unit test that will fail if the list gets outdated.

WC doesn't support downgrades but the if condition that decides whether or not to call WC_Install::install() and apply database schema changes was checking if the WC version stored in the database is equal to the WC version in the code. This commit changes the check performed inside the if condition to verify if the WC version stored in the database is smaller than the version in the code. This way `dbDelta()` won't be called automatically by WC and revert database schema changes. This is particulary important for clustered providers where the version of the WC code running in one of the containers could be outdated and trigger a database downgrade.

This commit fixes a bug in WC_Customer_Download_Data_Store::get_downloads() that made impossible to change the order in which the query returned the results. This method accepts the arguments `order_by` and `order` but it was ignoring them and always using the default values ('permission_id' and 'ASC' respectively).
One of the assertions of the WC_Customer_Download_Data_Store::get_downloads() test method was modified to make sure the code now works.
This bug was introduced by commit a443419

This commit improves WC_Customer_Download_Data_Store::get_downloads() performance by changing the way the SQL query is built. Before this change, this method would get all table fields even when just the permission_id field is returned. Now the method will get from the database only the fields that will be returned. The fields retrieved from the database can be controlled using the parameter `$args['return']`:
- 'objects' (default): all fields are retrieved from the database and an array of WC_Customer_Download objects is returned.
- 'ids': gets and return only permision_ids
- comma separated list of fields (new option added by this commit): gets and return only the required fields. Examples: 'user_email,download_id,order_id' or 'order_id,download_count'.

There are a number of files that are only loaded when another function is called (for example, load a reporting class when displaying a widget). An autoloader would be the ideal way to handle this (both in production and for tests), but until PHP compatibility is sorted out this commit adds an easy fix:
Testcases can now populate the protected, static $includes property with filepaths relative to the project root; when the testcase boots up, these files will automatically be included.

Travis: don't reinstall PHPUnit
...
This commit removes the command to install PHPUnit on every Travis build job. I'm doing this because I don't see a reason for WooCommerce to re-install PHPUnit since it is already installed by default on every build job. Travis automatically handles installing the right PHPUnit version for each PHP version that we use.
This change should save around 10 seconds from each build job (https://travis-ci.org/woocommerce/woocommerce/jobs/306623161#L515 ).

Don't run PHPCS on the code coverage Travis job
...
PR #17680 added a new PHP 7.1 Travis build job to generate code coverage report. PHPCS was configured to run on all PHP 7.1 build jobs. So this means that after #17680 was merged, Travis started running PHPCS twice.
This commit fixes this issue by setting a new environment variable called `$RUN_PHPCS` and using this variable, instead of the PHP version, to decide when to run PHPCS.

Travis build is taking about 40 minutes to complete, and that is mostly because of the generation of the code coverage report.
To address that, this commit changes Travis configuration to run the command to generate code coverage report on a separate non-blocking Travis job. This way once the jobs that run the tests finishes, Travisi will mark the build as successful and will keep running code coverage on a separate job.

If by default the taxes are based on the shipping address and the current order doesn't have any, it would use the billing address rather than using the Shopping base location.
It's basically what WooCommerce is [doing already in Javascript](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/assets/js/admin/meta-boxes-order.js#L526-L575 ). This kind of checks should be done in the backend, never in the client side.

Fix bug #15103 where site operator cannot assign a variation with value of '0' as the default choice on the customer facing form.
...
The WC_Product::set_default_attributes function uses an array_filter (using the default callback for filtration)
to remove null and false values from the defaults array for a given product. The issue here is that, in the above use case,
the array_filter will evaluate '0' as 0 and therefore as false. Ultimately, array_filter then prevents the value from being
recorded, moving forward.
I've added a new filter callback to includes/wc-attribute-functions which will disregard all FALSE PHP equivalents except for
'0' (as a a string). Also, I've updated the filter_array call in WC_Product::set_default_attributes so that it uses this new callback,
instead of the PHP default. Finally, I've added a phpunit test to assert that, when storing default variations / attributes on a product,
the false/true PHP synonyms are evaluating and storing like one would normally expect, with the exception that (string) '0'
evaluates as true in this special case.
This solution could potentially be broadened to facililate similar rules elsewhere, but the need raised in the bug is specific and
this is a specific solution.

Make get_item() consistent (like get_items())

Right now get_item() is loading an item from the database directly. It doesn't
take advantage of our cache and it doesn't check if the item is already loaded in memory.
There is also another bug (or feature?) that it will let you load any item, even if the item is not related to the current order. I believe this is a bug, if somebody really wants to load any item regardless of the order they should use `WC_Order_Factory::get_order_item`.
Another bug is that items loaded with get_item() are not related to the order object, therefore any calls to Order::save() won't persist the changes made to the item.
This commits makes sure the item returned by get_item is loaded similarly like get_items() does, taking advantage of the cache and the $items protected property (chances are the item is already in memory, ready to be used).
If a given item is not found false will be returned. If item exists but it is not related to the current object it will return false as well (If this behaviour is wanted, I can easily change it load the item anyways instead of returning false).

Update Payment Tokens to follow the same pattern for custom data as other object types.

Payment tokens was introduced in 2.6 and was updated to use the new CRUD code while some of the CRUD system was still in flux.
While most things were correct, the prop handling for custom fields (like a card's last 4 digits) were directly calling meta functions, instead of delegating to the data store/parent.
This PR moves these props to `extra_data` and follows the same pattern as product types or order items. It also updates some version tags to 3.0.0. Finally, it adds an additional test for saving meta after a create which looks like it was lacking.
To Test:
* Run `phpunit`.
* Go to the "My Account" tab and add a new payment method. You need a payment gateway that supports this, like Simplify.
* Test the add a payment method flow.
* Make a test purchase using the saved payment method.

Fix order item meta functions cache busting.

The cache busting currently in `wc_add_order_item_meta`, `wc_update_order_item_meta`, and `wc_delete_order_item_meta` doesn't actually bust anything. The cache line looks like it is from 2.6. The relevent cache to bust is actually in the `order-items` group and has a different key/prefix.
This bug allows your meta to get out of sync if you use these functions and then try to access a value from a CRUD object.
You can see this in the `test_wc_order_item_meta_functions` test I've added. If you keep your `wc-order-item-functions.php` as is, the asserts against `$item->get_meta` will fail.
To test:
* `phpunit --filter=test_wc_order_item_meta_functions`.
* Try before applying the `wc-order-item-functions.php` changes and after.
