SDD <a href="descriptiveconcepts.html">&lt;DescriptiveConcepts&gt;</a> express basic terminological concepts of a more general concept than "characters" (structural hierarchy, property hierarchy, methods).

<a href="sddcharacters.html">&lt;Characters&gt;</a> and their states are fundamental elements used in SDD to describe a taxon, specimen or other entity.
