The Biological Descriptions and Identification Interest Group was founded as part of the restructuring of the activities of [[http://www.tdwg.org][Taxonomic Data Working Group]] working groups into interest groups and task groups. 

This is a new wiki, to replace the muddle of general information and the old SDD information. SDD information is still present under:

   *  [[SDD/WebHome][SDD]] ( Structure of Descriptive Data) web pages - a task group wiki.
